My name is Chelsey and I am a Smart Au Pair in Australia. In my Success Story, I told you all about my experiences. Do you want to know what my day as an au pair looks like? Read my work schedule below.

My day as an au pair

My au pair work schedule is:

Monday
I work from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and I only take care of the baby on this day. I have the opportunity to take her out and engage in activities like visiting the zoo. Sometimes, I also handle a bit of laundry and put it away. I'm responsible for cooking, and then the mom or dad picks up the kids, and we have dinner together.

Tuesday
I work from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, which means I have the entire morning and part of the afternoon to myself. When I start working at 4:00 PM, I prepare dinner, and then I wait for the mom or dad to pick up the kids. We eat together, and after dinner, I assist in packing their lunchboxes.

Wednesday
I work from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. On this day, I take care of both the baby and the girl. Grandma also joins us on Wednesdays to spend time with the girl while I attend to the baby. I handle the cooking, and the mom or dad picks up the boys, and then we all have dinner together.

Thursday
I have the day off, which allows me to explore Sydney. I'm always welcome to eat with the family, but it depends on my plans.

Friday
I work from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. On this day, I care for the baby and the girl, and in the morning, we often go to the shopping center to play. I also manage some light laundry and cooking. Afterward, the mom or dad picks up the boys, and we all have dinner.

Saturday:
I work for 2 hours in the morning because the boys go to soccer with the dad, and the girl attends a dance class with the mom at the same time. I stay home with the baby, but if I have plans on a Saturday, the family is willing to take the baby with them.

Sunday
It's my day off, but I am always welcome to spend it with the family if they have any plans.
