George, Clare, Emily, Saskia and Freddie live in a beautiful relatively large village in the Cotswolds.  South Cerney is a couple of miles from Cirencester which is one of the largest towns in the Cotswolds.

We live in quite a large house next door to the church.  The village is surrounded by fields but has 3 pubs, 2 shops, a chemist and a couple of take-aways.  The nearest train station is Kemble and trains to London take 1.25 hours.

George is a lawyer in London, he commutes every day and so leaves early and gets home fairly late.  Clare worked full time as the global marketing director for a large UK company until the end of 2009.  She is planning to go back to part-time work in September.

Emily is nearly 7 and goes to school locally.  She loves everything creative and is a kind happy big sister.  Saskia is 4 and goes to nursery 3 days every week and can not wait to go to school in September.  Sassy is inquisitive, loves puzzles and games and is very competitive.  Freddie is nearly 2 and is generally a happy chap.  He loves his food and amazingly loves everything boys are supposed to like!  He will start nursery for a few hours per week in September.

We are an energetic, fast moving family that works hard and plays hard.   We have just taken the kids around the world for 2 months and had an amazing adventure.  We love walking, cycling, swimming (we have a pool), skiing, travelling and much more when we have time.  We often have a load of friends staying at the weekend and love the house to be full of kids and laughter.

We often have family to stay and the kids have 3 cousins that we spend a lot of time with.  We also have a family home in SW England in Cornwall (by the sea) where we spend much of our holidays.

We have had a nanny for over 6 years (she left in October 2009) and the kids love being looked after by young, fun girls.  We have decided that with 2 kids at school and Clare not working full time we will now have an au pair rather than a nanny.

We are looking for an Au Pair that genuinely loves kids and knows how to engage with them.   We love the world and travel and so like the idea of a non-UK influence in our house.  We want to Au Pair to help Clare with the children before and after school, look after Freddie when Clare is finding her next job, allow Clare to have some one on one time with each child and generally help out keeping the house in order.

Our Au Pair will have a room on the 3rd floor (top) of the house with an en-suite bathroom.  She will have use a car on her days off and will be needed to sometimes drive the children.  We are happy to discuss any other extras.

  • Children 7, 4 and 3
  • 30-35 hours
  • £125 per week
  • Cotswolds, beautiful village just over an hour from London
  • NEED driver + private use of car
  • Great accommodation, swimming pool – own bedroom & bathroom
  • Travel with family to house on the coast in Cornwall

Welcome to our family!  My husband, David, and I have two children who are both at full time school.  Our daughter Honor is 9years old and enjoys playing all sports including tennis, swimming, hockey and netball. She also loves drama and music and is learning to play the piano and clarinet.

Rafe, our son, is 6 years old.  He is a typical boy and is mad on all sports and games, including tennis, cricket and football.  He also loves to play with his lego and other construction toys, and his electric railway.  Like all kids, they both like to play on the computer and the Wii but I limit the time they spend doing these activities!!!!

My husband is a lawyer in the City and I have two jobs (in addition to being mum) - I am self-employed as an interior designer as well as working in court as a Magistrate.

As a family we love to travel and most holidays are spent away skiing or in the summer staying at our house in Mallorca, Spain.

We like to go out together at weekends and visit museums, the cinema or just go for a meal. The kids favourite food is Sushi.

We live in Wimbledon village, in a suburb of London. By train or tube it takes 20 mins. to the centre of London so it is very easy.  Wimbledon is well known for its tennis competition and it is an attractive area with a large common, shops and restaurants - all of which are very close to where we live.

We are looking for someone who can be a "big sister" to the children when I am busy working.  As they are both at in school until 3.30pm, during the day - after helping me to get the kids ready for school and prepare their breakfast - there is little to do.

What I need is help each afternoon from 3 to 7.30pm when I have to do the school run, tea and homework.  I want someone who is happy playing with kids - whether in the garden or being creative, etc.

Help around the house will be limited to keeping the children's rooms tidy and doing their ironing - we have a housekeeper who looks after the house.  But you must have common sense and be able to see things that need to be done rather than being told what to do - someone with initiative.

Also, I would like someone to babysit two nights during the week.  Any extra weekend work would be paid in addition. It is important that we have someone who is able and happy to drive as I would need help from time to time to picking up the children up from school.

You would have your own bedroom with bathroom which is on the same floor as the children's rooms. You would also be able to use the kids Den/playroom as your own sitting room - this has internet access and SKY tv.

Finally we need someone who would be happy to look after the house when we are away - to water the garden, feed the goldfish, etc.

·    Children 9 and 6
·     25-30 hours

·    £90-£120 per week

·    Wimbledon, London

·    NEED driver
·   Great accommodation – own bedroom & bathroom
