Friendly host family of 4 is looking for caring au aair to help with part time care for 1 year old daugter alongside host mum.

Looking for an English speaking au-pair starting March 2010. Host family live in a lovely, spacious 6 bedroom apartment/flat in the old town of Mainz close to the river Rhine and the central market square with the old Cathedral, museums and theatre. Mainz is centrally located, close to Frankfurt and easy to get to by train and plane, as Frankfurt airport, Germany’s major airport, is only a 20 minute tram ride which makes it ideal as a base to explore Europe.

The host mother lived in London for 16 years, which is why she speaks English to her daughter and why the family is looking for a native speaking au-pair.  Both parents work at the local University as professors in design and architecture, but also from their studio at home. You are invited to join them at University events to meet students of your age. The daughter goes to nursery one day a week, to playgroup on a Thursday and musical monkeys on a Friday.

Family enjoy entertaining, having friends and family over and most of all cooking and spending time over meals.  They love the outdoors, going to theatre and other cultural events.

A cleaner comes 2x per week so you only have to keep the flat tidy and help out with occasional ironing.
